What does the Younique Investment mean to you?

What does the cost of the Younique Investment mean to you?

On January 3, 2015, I did a survey and asked, "If $119CAN/$99USD is the cost of the Younique business/makeup kit, what do you think your TOTAL savings is for the product and business received?"

The answers to choose from were:

a) $119CAN/$99USD
b) $254CAN/$216USD
c) Priceless

Thank you everyone for taking the time to answer this question!

I personally believe the total savings is priceless! The sky is the limit when it comes to being your own boss and running a business. If you are putting a price or an amount to it, you are already limiting yourself. In the game of life, we all receive a set of variables and limitations in the field of play. We can either focus on the lack thereof or empower ourselves to create better realities with the pieces we play the game with.

When I was little and running on the race track at school, I always stopped and waited for all the other kids so we could run together even though I knew (and everybody else knew) that I could run much faster than all of them! I pretended to run slowly so I could "wait" for everyone else who couldn't run as fast as I could! If my friend was sad I pretended to be unhappy. I could go on and on about all the ways I have limited myself, my whole life, by "waiting" for people. And the only thing that I've ever received in return is people thinking that they are faster than me, people thinking that they can make me feel bad about myself just because I let them and people thinking that I have to do whatever they say I should do. Every girl always said "Cinderella is a perfect example to be" or "I just want to be like Barbie" but I have learned that Cinderella and Barbie can go f$%* themselves [excuse my French], I'm not waiting for anybody, anymore! I'm going to run as fast as I can, fly as high as I can, I am going to soar and if you want, you can come with me! But I'm not waiting for anyone, ANYMORE. I want to soar with the eagles, because chickens cannot fly!

You are the limit to yourself - raise yourself over it.

If I Can, You Can

Last night I was chatting with my Mom about how this month was looking with Younique.  As we approach the last day of the month and year, I was checking out my downline to see who was going to promote, who was sticking out as a great sales person or recruiter and how the people with big goals are progressing as rapidly as I did. I commented to her that I have noticed that one of the biggest reasons people quit or stop working the business is because they talk themselves out of it. So many start off strong and then get discouraged and decide that they can't succeed.  They decide that they won't be able to promote, reach their goals, make the kind of income they desire or change their lives. So they stop.  And guess what? They never promote, reach their goals or change their lives.  They never earn the big paychecks.  Is it because they couldn't do it? Is it because they weren't lucky or because they are incapable? NO! They talked themselves out of success.  They decided that they couldn't do it for one self defeating reason or another and gave up. You cannot sell if you are not working the business.

Now let's look at those who do succeed with Younique.  One thing that they all have in common is that they decide to rock this business.  They decide to work their tails off and do whatever it takes to be successful.  They decide to focus, persevere and keep going, regardless of any setbacks they may experience.  It doesn't mean that they don't have off days.  It just means that they made a decision to reach their goals and they are not going to allow anything, especially themselves, stand in the way.

I remember sitting in front of my computer in September 2014, 1 week after signing up as a Presenter. I was aware that there was an incredible opportunity with this company  I knew I was going to be successful. At that moment I decided to work harder, persevere longer and focus better than any other person out there.  While it may sound like I was trying to compete with others, my intention was to do the best that I possibly could [it's the leo in me].  I was competing with myself and the only one I had to out do was me. I used the example and actions of others to encourage me to keep going. Just shy of (4) months in, I've promoted three (3) times with Younique.  I have a downline of amazing girls AND guys that I am coaching and watching them change their lives for the better.  This is an amazing thing to be a part of but it all starts with a decision. And it wouldn't have happened if I had talked myself out of it.

So how do you make a similar decision? Get rid of self defeating talk.  Eliminate self defeating behavior.  Focus on what you CAN do instead of what you CAN'T.  Banish the fear of failing, the fear of criticism, and the fear of change.  You have the power to change your life.  You have to power to reach your goals and no one can't stop you but YOU! Don't be that girl saying to herself a year from now, "I wish I wouldn't have let that amazing opportunity slip through my hands" "That could have been me!"

But First Let Me Take A SELFIE...

Thank you to my NEW and EXISTING customers for a great start to Younique's ‪#‎BlackFriday‬ Shopping frenzy! Shop til you drop - special ends Dec 1 @ 11:59PM (pst)!!

There's nothing better than a customer coming back telling me their friends want to order too! I'm so glad I made this decision to build a Younique business. Changing lives. Empowering women around me. Building self-confidence.

So to start off my blog, I thought it would be fun to write about selfies.

Now I'm personally not very good at taking selfies, but I'm learning. And I'm not one to blast them all over the internet. BUT I do like to take them when heck, NO ONE is ever conveniently around to take my pic.

I, however, have to give credit to all those who can take a flattering selfie. It's an art of its own.

Since Younique's Black Friday ‪#‎BeautyBundles‬ come with my personal TOP seller, the 3D Fiber Lash mascara, I thought it would be fun to "talk" about selfies.

So here is a great tutorial of how to angle, use lighting, and backdrop to your advantage.

And what better time to take one than after you've completed your Younique look. Check it out, start practicing, and show off those lashes! I want to see your amazing lash #selfies.

Feel free to post your selfies on my FB Page: Royal Beauty LashMob or e-mail me directly.

What Am I Thankful For This Thanksgiving [and EVERYDAY]

I'd like to take the time and express my gratitude for all that I’m thankful for. Thanksgiving is actually one of my favorite holidays. It’s an easy one since there’s no gift-giving going on so it’s virtually stress-free. It's a fabulous time of the year to reflect on all that we have and to show how thankful we are.

So here I go, there's a lot, and so there should be!

1. My Son - Logan [aka Spidey] - He is my rock, my superhero, my everything. I couldn't see a day without him and so happy and thankful I was/am blessed with such a beautiful little man. The past 9 years have been a rollercoaster, but he is there with me and for me through thick and thin. He makes me so proud to be his mom and for me to call him my son.

2. My Family - Without them, I wouldn’t be here. Enough said, right? My mom and dad will always love me unconditionally and have been there to pick me up when I’ve been hurt, to care for me when I’ve been sick, and to listen to me when I needed some advice [which is always, if you know me].

3. My Three (3) Sisters - Even though we don't agree on everything and see eye to eye, even to this day, they would have my back in a heartbeat.

4. My Baby Girl - Sharpie (Blue Shar-pei) - Even though you drool like crazy and cause me to mop the floors all the time, you are one piece of the puzzle ("our family") that is irreplaceable. You are Logan's back seat buddy in the car [maybe not when you get car sick LOL] and my safety net at home. You are everyone's favourite because you are the cutest, most talked about dog at the dog park. Hey, you even get me to "exercise" and out of the house for walks when I'm feeling lazy! When Logan and I bought you, they had said "this type of dog aims to please" and without question you do just that.

5.  Health - Good health is so important, especially when disease and sickness seem to be everywhere. Eat clean, exercise and be happy! Oh, and wear Younique's natural based, vegan friendly, no cruelty make up and cosmetics! It is not just what we put into our body, but we put on our body as well.  You'll thank me later!

6. Shelter - We have a beautiful roof over our head, that Logan I call "our home". It brings the "quality" into the time we spend together, where we can relax, collect our thoughts and of course CLEAN! Yes, yes with a house comes responsibility, another skill I'm super thankful for. #homesweethome

7. Friends - Friends are so important in life. They are the family that you get to choose in life and have been there for some of your best (and worst) moments. They are such blessings in life! #bff

8. Technology - Geez, where would I be without that. My business is run 95% off my smart phone!

9. My Work - I LOVE what I do - key to a happy, healthy life! #stressfree #younique

10. Trees, Flowers, Plants, and Air - Being a vegan, my health relies a lot on this - it keeps me alive! Plus, the beauty of it all, is that it gives grass for kids to run through, flowers to smell, trees to climb and gives you oxygen to BREATHE. #life

11. Most important for which you would not be here without God. #inGodwetrust

I know I have missed much more, and don't get me wrong, I am so THANKFUL & GRATEFUL for everything life has provided and continues to give. Make sure you take some time to think about what you’re thankful for this holiday season, even the things that don't cost a thing (per se). Appreciate EVERYTHING in your life. We only get one shot at it. Happy Thanksgiving.
