Reached Younique Presenter Blue Status

After being Pink status with Younique for the previous 3 months and missing Blue by a little each month, I finally hit Blue April 29, 2015. I was in complete shock, but overwhelmed with joy and excitement.

The days leading up to April 29th had me really anxious. I was hoping for the best and working hard to make it happen, but I was really nervous. In fact, the middle of April, I was in such a terrible mood because I was worrying about not living up to the expectations of my sponsor and some of the ladies on my team.

I woke up on April 29th to a message from my Black Status leader, Karyn Melko-Medeiros, telling me how CLOSE I was to Blue. I immediately looked at my Younique back office (by the way, I am totally addicted to checking my back office #YBOCA is real, y'all!!) and my company sales were 4% away from hitting Blue status. It was looking promising, that's for sure. Next thing I know, I checked my back office to see checkmarks all marked off for the Blue status.

I'm such a sap! Immediately shared my amazing news with my mom. Finally. Yay! I've wanted to achieve Blue for so long now and it was the best feeling ever. What's really amazing about all of this is the team that I have. There is NO way it could hvae happened without each one of them and I am so very thankful. Always Thankful & Truly Blessed - Journey to SickKids

My son, Logan is 9 years old (soon to be 10) lives to please, will to achieve and does most without a fear in this world. He gives me the strength and courage to live and do the same with my life.

You may look at Logan and not think he has ever gone through a brain surgery. And that is exactly why we are both thankful (yes, thankful) for having gone through that at an early age. 

You could imagine how active a young boy is, one that literally runs everywhere he has to go (literally), even to the washroom. This determined boy was walking at 10 months, skating at 18 months, together with playing hockey and soccer [almost felt like it was all at the same time]. My days revolved around Logan, work and night school. And that was completely fine by me. I knew from the day he was born, Logan would be my life.

I would get calls weekly (if not more) from Logan’s daycare that he had a fever, his head hurt, and that I needed to pick him up from daycare. During this time I was also terminated from my full-time job [only household income] because I was leaving work to often to pick him up. After months of Logan suffering from excruciating headaches, at age 3.5, he was diagnosed with a condition called Chiari Malformation. Chiari is a neurological disorder in which the brain tissue of the cerebellum extends into the spinal canal and blocks the normal flow of spinal fluid.

Logan underwent surgery in November of 2009, two days after his 4^th birthday.  

Despite being told Logan would never be able to participate in physical sports again, Logan’s willingness and determination has proven otherwise. Not to mention he fought 78.5 hours to come into this world with his umbilical cord wrapped around his neck 4 times. On August 5, 2014, Logan was released by the Chief Surgeon from his annual visits to SickKids Hospital. Knock on wood, there hasn’t been a headache since his operation November 12, 2009. Logan recently tried out for the Orangeville Northmen Rep Lacrosse Team for Major Novice. After 3 days of tryouts, we have a new Northmen who will be actively practicing with the team 3 days a week plus games and tournaments. Who knows, he might be the next Toronto Rock star!

I am thankful for having gone through this. Without having these life experiences, challenges and obstacles, I surely would not be the person I am today. Logan is my “WHY” to achieve, and the strength to carry on.

Another reason I am thankful is because of my friends and family. I would have never been able to endure this without the love and support of them, and I will forever remember that and be grateful to them. 

I am also much, much stronger than I ever thought I was, or could be. I had always been physically strong, but coming out of that has made me mentally strong as well. 

I also have a newfound respect for anyone with a disability. Especially disabilities that aren’t visible. Just because someone isn’t wearing a cast or crutching around, doesn’t mean that person doesn’t have something wrong with them. 

I’ve also learned how to truly love life. Anytime I start to stress too much about work, friends, relationships, or whatever it is, I simply remember that life is fragile and never guaranteed. 

Lastly, I have learned to truly appreciate having good health. Things could be much, much worse and putting things in perspective has been one of the greatest outcomes. 

While having brain surgery isn’t typical, and people usually freak out upon hearing that, it has left me with an appreciative view on life. 

And I can without a doubt say that Logan has and will always be my miracle in life. My hope is that anyone who reads his story, whether they have a disability or not, would be able to look at their life and find the things they are thankful for. xx Ang

Who Needs Winter To Go Away When We Can Get Sun-kissed Beachfront Style

I have soooooo many customers in love with the Beachfront Bronzers. I would love to share with you how to apply!

5 Easy Steps:

1. Use our Younique Powder Puff Brush. A wide, fluffy powder brush with a rounded top. If your brush is too small and stiff, it will give blotchy results.

2. Apply your primer and foundation first. Bronzer is added as a step after your liquid or cream foundation and concealer have been applied. Put these on in an even coat over the entirety of your face to smooth out your complexion and create a blank canvas for your contouring. Be sure to blend the foundation down your neck slightly for a more natural look.

3. Swirl the brush evenly in the bronzer. It is best to apply your bronzer in light, even coats to build up color rather than adding a single dark layer at once. Therefore, just lightly coat the end of your brush in the powder and tap off the excess onto the lid of the container.

4. Put on your bronzer. Apply bronzer to the areas of the face the sun would naturally hit. Using very light strokes, first apply the bronzer to the top of the forehead, the cheekbones, and down along your jawline. Done correctly, your bronzer application will be in a "3" shape on either side of your face.

5. Check the bronzer in daylight. Make sure your bronzer application is not too heavy and has an even appearance, watching for streaks. If too much bronzer is applied, blend the bronzer down evenly with a cotton pad or apply a little more base powder.

Younique’s Stiff Upper Lip Lip Stain Review

My First Younique Lip Stain Experience

Younique came out with an exclusive lip stain as the November Customer Kudos if a certain amount of product was sold. Being that I love earning free products (who doesn’t?), I earned a few of these cranberry-colored lip stains. Since joining as a Younique presenter, I’ve become quite adventurous with trying out different makeup colors and this was no different. I’m usually a natural shade (for both lips and eyes) kind of girl, but I actually couldn’t wait to try this beautiful color on my lips.

It certainly did not disappoint. You know, there’s just something about the fall and the holiday season that makes you want to glam it up a bit more than usual and I did just that. The great thing about this exclusive lip stain was that it suited just about any skin tone, so it was a great gateway into the world of lip stains.

Not one word of a lie, I fell in love. Be honest, y’all… Who wants to apply lip color ONE time, have it stay on all day long, and not leave any color on a cup of water, coffee, or wine? I mean, who wouldn’t want that?! It certainly lives up to its’ name and does all of the above. As you can imagine, it was such a hit with Younique Presenters and customers alike so we were all super excited to learn that it was one of Younique’s new spring products for March 2015.

The November Customer Kudos lip stain color was truly exclusive, but we now have 7 beautiful shades of lip stain to choose from! That’s like a lip stain for every day of the week! (And if you really loved the November color and ran out, Sultry is the closest thing to it.)

Younique’s Stiff Upper Lip Lip Stain Review: A Few Helpful Tips!

Younique’s lip stain is really simple to use. Since I’ve been using it for a few months now, I have learned some tricks that make the application process go a little more smoothly.

If you have really dry or chapped lips, use a toothbrush to exfoliate your lips first. You want your lips to be as smooth as possible (no flaky lips) so that the lip stain isn’t splotchy when applied.

If you want to apply another coat of lip stain, wait for the lip stain to dry completely before doing so.
If you don’t like the feel of the matte finish, use a clear lip gloss (or even chap stick) once the lip stain is dry.

Make sure that you apply the lip stain on your bare lips. You don’t want any gloss or chap stick residue on your lips before applying the lip stain. It won’t go on even and it won’t look good.

How to remove Younique’s Stiff Upper Lip Lip Stain

Obviously you want a lip stain to last, but what about when you want to take it off? Whether it’s not the right color or it’s lasted all day long and you’re ready for bed, you need to know how to remove lip stain. The easiest way to remove lip stain color from your lips is to apply petroleum jelly or chap stick on your lips, leave it on for a few minutes, and then wipe it off with a makeup remover cloth. The lip stain should come right off.

Buyer Beware!!

Since I have started with Younique, I have responded to so many comments from people on Facebook in different groups, in particular about our 3D Fiber Lashes, saying the product does not stay on, the fibers fall over their face all day, it is all clumpy, the fibers don't adhere to the lashes at all, it is impossible to remove, or they never received what they ordered. And when I ask questions and get to the bottom of it I find that the person has purchased from either eBay or Amazon…which I knew right from the beginning was the case to be honest.

So I wanted to do this blog, and I hope that even 10% of the people who follow my page take the time to read it and the couple article links I will include at the end.

As Presenters it is against our Agreement to sell any of our products on eBay or Amazon!! Plus, we pay the same price you do for our products (we just earn some commission on our own purchases, but we buy it for the same price you do). So when you are checking out eBay or Amazon to try so save a few $/£ ask yourself these two questions.

1. How can I guarantee the product being sold is authentic and not a knock off full of chemicals and fillers that can be harmful not only to your eyes, but to your general health?

2. Why would a Younique Presenter jeopardise losing her business as well as purposely lose money when you also factors in both eBay and PayPal fees that all sellers must pay, just to be able to sell products on these sites…does that make good business sense or sound logical?

What is your "WHY"?

My name is Ang Marshall and I am a Paralegal by trade, Law Clerk by night and I am MOST PROUD to say I am now a Network Marketing Leader.

I wasn’t looking to change careers or multi task multiple careers at once, but Younique found me, and like they say things happen for a reason.

I heard about this amazing little mascara biz people were talking about so I had to try it. I LOVED it! It made my teeny, super blonde little lashes longer in seconds. I was hooked. I was also tired of bleaching my pillow cases from Proactiv so I gave their natural based face wash a try...Yup, I think I keep 3 Illuminate Cleansers always on hand so I never run out!

I already had two (2) legal jobs on the go and always on the "single mom" run  ... There's this WHY in my life who I always want to do better for ... I can't just settle for a mediocre life for him or myself... my son never had or has fear... for heaven sakes he fought 78.5 hours to come into this world, and to top it off had a brain operation when he was 4, two days after his 4th birthday in 2009. He has fought, seen and been through more crazy stuff than many people do not face in their lifetime....he has smiled through the hardest of times. Why can't I face my fears to make a better living for us, more importantly him.

The best part is, because of this WHY, I'm 6 months into owning my own business and have a growing team of successful women and men, with an increasing income that I DETERMINE. The few extra hundred dollars I was hoping for a month grew into something I could never imagine. I never understood that network marketing was a "Better Way", but I do now! These pictures below remind me EVERYDAY of MY WHY :) - everything I do, I do it for my son.
