Reached Younique Presenter Blue Status

After being Pink status with Younique for the previous 3 months and missing Blue by a little each month, I finally hit Blue April 29, 2015. I was in complete shock, but overwhelmed with joy and excitement.

The days leading up to April 29th had me really anxious. I was hoping for the best and working hard to make it happen, but I was really nervous. In fact, the middle of April, I was in such a terrible mood because I was worrying about not living up to the expectations of my sponsor and some of the ladies on my team.

I woke up on April 29th to a message from my Black Status leader, Karyn Melko-Medeiros, telling me how CLOSE I was to Blue. I immediately looked at my Younique back office (by the way, I am totally addicted to checking my back office #YBOCA is real, y'all!!) and my company sales were 4% away from hitting Blue status. It was looking promising, that's for sure. Next thing I know, I checked my back office to see checkmarks all marked off for the Blue status.

I'm such a sap! Immediately shared my amazing news with my mom. Finally. Yay! I've wanted to achieve Blue for so long now and it was the best feeling ever. Younique Corporate also had monetary CASH incentives for status promotions during the month of April, which would help my family out immensely considering I just paid for Logan's rep lacrosse. [he has some serious cleaning/chores to do LOL]. Younique gave me a cash bonus of $275 CAN for promoting to Blue status on top of my royalties. Honestly, such a generous incentive from Younique Corporate.

What's really amazing about all of this is the team that I have. There is NO way it could hvae happened without each one of them and I am so very thankful. They are rocking their businesses and I am so proud to know them all. I am so happy to work with them on a daily basis and really get to know them on a personal level. I've never been so happy to "work" every single day! #YSister <3

There's promotions happening left and right and it's so exciting to watch and celebrate with everyone on the team!

This is what it's all about, that's for sure! I can't understand why everyone isn't in Direct Sales. Where else do you have the potential to surpass your previous milestones? Where else do you have unlimited earning potential? Where else can you stay in your pjs all day and make money? And, just so we're clear, Younique's makeup and skincare is the best, but this is SO much more than makeup. It's meeting new friends and working together to achieve your dreams. It's working with other people who share your mindset and positivity. It's a sisterhood that's unexplainable.

It's adding some extra money to your bank account every month, whether you need it for diapers, to put away from your kid's college, rep lacrosse, or just want some extra spending money. This is so huge and I am so happy that I decided to sign up September 2014. Best decision ever, no doubt about that, and this is just the beginning on my way to the TOP!

What is your "WHY"?

My name is Ang Marshall and I am a Paralegal by trade, Law Clerk by night and I am MOST PROUD to say I am now a Network Marketing Leader.

I wasn’t looking to change careers or multi task multiple careers at once, but Younique found me, and like they say things happen for a reason.

I heard about this amazing little mascara biz people were talking about so I had to try it. I LOVED it! It made my teeny, super blonde little lashes longer in seconds. I was hooked. I was also tired of bleaching my pillow cases from Proactiv so I gave their natural based face wash a try...Yup, I think I keep 3 Illuminate Cleansers always on hand so I never run out!

I saw you could join for $119 and make money from selling it. I loved the product so I knew I could share it with my friends and family but obviously didn't have the time to build a business. I already had two (2) legal jobs on the go and always on the "single mom" run  ... I would say to myself, "I read legal contracts...I can't "sell" stuff", but would reflect deeper in thought and think a couple extra hundred dollars a month wouldn't hurt.

There's this WHY in my life who I always want to do better for ... I can't just settle for a mediocre life for him or myself... my son never had or has fear... for heaven sakes he fought 78.5 hours to come into this world, and to top it off had a brain operation when he was 4, two days after his 4th birthday in 2009. He has fought, seen and been through more crazy stuff than many people do not face in their lifetime....he has smiled through the hardest of times. Why can't I face my fears to make a better living for us, more importantly him.

The best part is, because of this WHY, I'm 6 months into owning my own business and have a growing team of successful women and men, with an increasing income that I DETERMINE. The few extra hundred dollars I was hoping for a month grew into something I could never imagine. I never understood that network marketing was a "Better Way", but I do now! These pictures below remind me EVERYDAY of MY WHY :) - everything I do, I do it for my son.

If I Can, You Can

Last night I was chatting with my Mom about how this month was looking with Younique.  As we approach the last day of the month and year, I was checking out my downline to see who was going to promote, who was sticking out as a great sales person or recruiter and how the people with big goals are progressing as rapidly as I did. I commented to her that I have noticed that one of the biggest reasons people quit or stop working the business is because they talk themselves out of it. So many start off strong and then get discouraged and decide that they can't succeed.  They decide that they won't be able to promote, reach their goals, make the kind of income they desire or change their lives. So they stop.  And guess what? They never promote, reach their goals or change their lives.  They never earn the big paychecks.  Is it because they couldn't do it? Is it because they weren't lucky or because they are incapable? NO! They talked themselves out of success.  They decided that they couldn't do it for one self defeating reason or another and gave up. You cannot sell if you are not working the business.

Now let's look at those who do succeed with Younique.  One thing that they all have in common is that they decide to rock this business.  They decide to work their tails off and do whatever it takes to be successful.  They decide to focus, persevere and keep going, regardless of any setbacks they may experience.  It doesn't mean that they don't have off days.  It just means that they made a decision to reach their goals and they are not going to allow anything, especially themselves, stand in the way.

I remember sitting in front of my computer in September 2014, 1 week after signing up as a Presenter. I was aware that there was an incredible opportunity with this company  I knew I was going to be successful. At that moment I decided to work harder, persevere longer and focus better than any other person out there.  While it may sound like I was trying to compete with others, my intention was to do the best that I possibly could [it's the leo in me].  I was competing with myself and the only one I had to out do was me. I used the example and actions of others to encourage me to keep going. Just shy of (4) months in, I've promoted three (3) times with Younique.  I have a downline of amazing girls AND guys that I am coaching and watching them change their lives for the better.  This is an amazing thing to be a part of but it all starts with a decision. And it wouldn't have happened if I had talked myself out of it.

So how do you make a similar decision? Get rid of self defeating talk.  Eliminate self defeating behavior.  Focus on what you CAN do instead of what you CAN'T.  Banish the fear of failing, the fear of criticism, and the fear of change.  You have the power to change your life.  You have to power to reach your goals and no one can't stop you but YOU! Don't be that girl saying to herself a year from now, "I wish I wouldn't have let that amazing opportunity slip through my hands" "That could have been me!"
